D180 External Backup Power

Hi,

I just received my new D180 and am gleefully going through the installation instructions and modifying my ship's wiring diagram.

Please tell me what the normal use is for the External Backup Power. How would the builder typically use it?

This is occasionally used by customers that have either a separately switchable emergency bus, or in really ambitious panels, completely redundant electrical systems (this is pretty rare in homebuilts). We've found that most people do not use it, instead opting for the optional internal backup battery that is available for our products.
