As I'm building a helicopter (Kompress, Rotax 914 Engine) I'm very much interested to have the rotor rpm included in the D180. What are your plans about this?

Mostly due to hardware limitations, we do not currently have plans to add a rotor rpm monitoring to the EMS and FlightDEK products.

For curiosity's sake - Do you know what kind of signal the EMS/FlightDEK would need to be able to read to measure rotor RPM?

The rotor produces 80 pulses per 10 revolutions(or 8 pulses per 1 revolution).
I confirm you herewith that on the Mast there is a sensor 0,5 Volt - 8 pulses per rpm with 3 poles:
input,
ground,
signal.

Rotor RPM
Max 104%/540RPM
Min 96%/480RPM
for max 5": 110%/550RPM=red upper line
104%-110% yellow range
96%-104%=green range
90%-97%=yellow range
90%=red lower line
60-70%= yellow range

Best regards:
