I have a pb with the internal battery of my D180. When I shut down the planes battery, the D180 shuts down :the internal battery does not make the backup.
I have installed as recommended the last firmware 4.0, but the pb remains.
Thanks for quick help

What does the "I" voltage on the VMETER info item on the FlightDEK-D180 read when master power is connected and on.

Also, from the off state, does pushing the left button turn the FlightDEK-D180 on?

I am seeing the same thing with the d180. When the "I" value is reading "16" and aircraft power to d180 is off, pushing the left button (#1) does not turn the unit on. Is this the way the it should operate?

Not all D180s turn on when using just the battery. They draw more power than a D100 or a D120 and this can cause them to have issues turning on using the battery. They will always stay on when the power fails though, so they work as a backup just fine.

We think we made this much better with the 4.0 software, and in fact have heard this fixed the issue for all units we know about. If you haven't installed 4.0 yet, please try this.

bqueyrel,
Has it ever worked as a backup? Are you 100% sure there is actually a backup battery inside the unit? The battery is an option so maybe your unit doesn't have it? You can take the door off the side of the unit and look inside to see if it has the battery.
