D180 Power In on two connectors?

Greetings again.

I am a cheapskate and am making my own harnesses. I see the EFIS 25 pin connector and the EMS 37 pin connector each have a provision for 12V input, keep alive, and ground. Is is kosher to just tie the respective wires together, or is a separate connection, at the power supply, the way to go? An why is that?

That's a typo in our current guides. Page 2-7 shows those connections on 37-pin harness (although the text above the diagram is correct), but 2-8 shows those connections as Do Not Connect. Page 2-8 is correct. You only need to connect power to the 25-pin D25 harness. This will be fixed in our new manuals coming out with 5.0 firmware.
