Hi.

I have a D180 that was working fine until a recent annual service. Apparently there was an internal leak (static pressure i think) and the avionics guys opened it up and reattached an internal hose which had a small leak apparently. Since then it will start fine, and then randomly shut down in flight and try to reboot but cant. Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes. Just cycles to the boot screen and off again. Even if i land and turn all switches off, it wont reboot. Not until i shut down the engine. Voltage seems fine with aircraft running, about 14.7 volts.

We have checked all connections at back and looks fine. It does not appear to have an internal battery because i checked the internal voltage on the menu and it was zero. Running firmware vs 4.0 but that has been fine until the service.

Any thoughts? Could something not have been put back right when they reattached the static line? At the moment all we can think of is to send it back to the factory but hoping not. (In Australia).

thanks for any suggestions.

It's possible that the unit was damaged when it was opened. Note that with the exception of a single service bulletin that authorizes a fix to the EDC-D10A remote compass, Dynon products do not have any field-serviceable parts.
