Hello

My D180 is rebooting continuously after a certain period of time (between from 5 to 20 mn) . It does this even when the engine is not started .

Version is 5.1.0 . Keep alive is off. The unit has not been  used during 3 months (July to mid  September) and the internal battery was  around 12V at the first turning on . When turned on , the internal battery is charging and reach 15V but never goes above  . The unit reboot before .

The unit comes from factory inspection since it had problems of stability (in May) and it did one 2hours flight in June without any problem .

I 'm not confident to upload the 5.1.1 because I fear  the reboot during upload.
What can I do ???

Good idea not to update while it's rebooting. Can you attach it to another power source (another aircraft or battery perhaps) to confirm that it's the unit and not the power supply? Also, try disconnecting the internal battery just as a test. Assuming those things don't improve the condition, we'll want to take a look at the unit.

I had already tried to connect to another source and that doesn't solve the problem. Anyway my battery is brain new.
The access to the rear of the unit is pretty difficult for me (MCR panel ) , so I have to see how I can manage to unplug the internal battery .
Thanks

Note that the battery is on the right side of the unit. So if you have enough slack in all of your lines, you might be able to get at it just by unscrewing the unit from the tray and pulling it forward in the tray.

I have disconnected the internal battery today. Unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem . It seems to me that the booting is due to something getting hot inside because if outside T° is low the booting appears later . Today with 22 °C the unit reboots after 10mn.When T° was around 10°C ,2weeks ago, the unit booted after more than 30mn

The unit boots also when turned on the internal battery

I think you need to have a look at it

please advice me
