Hello.
I have fitted a D180 in my airplane with a rotax 912 uls engine.
In Global parameters I set it as a Rotax 912 when operating the rpm is 1/8 of what it should be. Do I have to adjust this. I expected this to be set as I had told the Dynon it was a 912

Setting the engine type only configures some items, and the engine pulses per revolution is not one of those. You need to adjust the pulses per revolution to the appropriate setting for you engine. If it is reading 1/8 low, you need to lower the PPR by 8X

Whether it means, what I should specify type of the engine "another" and make options independently?

You can set the pulses per revolution under the tachometer setting regardless of what engine type you have set.
