D180 Serial on 37 vs 25 pin connectors

If I'm not planning to use the D180's data logging serial output, is there any other reason to install the serial connection on the 37-pin connector? I'm planning to put one on the 25-pin connector for firmware updates.

Not really. You can remove the connector or keep it bundled up at your discretion.
