I have to go out to the airfield tomorrow to have a look at a D180 where the DI ( compass heading ) is extremely slow during a turn. Any ideas will be more than welcome. I am not sure if it has a remote compass.

Check out the D25 connector on the D180, there should be pins fitted at 11,12,23,24, if not then no Magnetometer fitted - if there is a magnetometer connected then a search will eventually find it - good luck

Thank you. It does have one. Done the basic recalibration (compass swing) today. Will see what it does when flying it.
