I would like to make work my D180 wtih AvMAP EKPIV to get the source for the HSI, but the connection don't work at all. :'(
I've tried the serial output of the AvMAP to pin 19 on the DB37 as well as 22 on the DB25, NMEA format at 9600 baud rate as well as the others and nothing helped. The output of th AvMAP is on, all sentences chosen, everything seems to be OK.
Am I went wrong somewhere? :-[
Thanks

Petr, France

What version of firmware is your Dynon running?

That should work, unless the new firmware is not playing well with the Avmap (it was previously known to work). Note that if you do not have your GPS externally powered, you'll need to run a ground between the GPS and the Dynon.

Well I confirm that the new software version 3.0 is working also perfect with the Avmap EKPIV. I have installed a D180 and D100...
I will check the settings from my AVMAP ouput for you. Good lock

I have the new 3.0 firmware and both instruments are powered by the same externall source. Marc_Michel confirmed that it works
with the new firmware anyway, so I'll check it again.
Thank you!

OK, I'd be grateful for that :) Please, did you connect it to pin 19 on the DB37 connector or to pin 22 on the DB25?
It might be the 19 as it stands in the install guide I suppose...

Thanks a lot!

I'm interested in this idea too. I have the D100 plain EFIS but I expect it to be the same as the D180? How do I connect my AVMAP IV to connect to the EFIS for nav? Currently I have an output to the Trio autopilot only. Maybe I can split the signal and feed the EFIS?

Split the signal that goes to your Trio and run it to the D100. It will work the same as the D180.
