D180 with Yellow screen

Stuck at an airfield with the D180 screen yellow. Plugged in a laptop and usb cable and asked to retrieve data. Shortly after connecting, it came up wihe a message CANNOT CONNECT TO CHIP 4 or something line that. What now? It is about five hours before the mothership will be at their desks

I have seen them on customer displays..........usually the answer is remove all power, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Works fine. But maybe not every time
