I plan to buy a D6 for a permit aircraft. I see the range on the VSI looks a little over 2000 ft/min. On a small instrument, this makes a typical descent rate of, say, 500 fpm rather insignificant.
Can the scale range be adjusted to give a range of, say, plus or minus 1000fpm? Any more than that  I don't really need to know the exact figure, so, for me, this would be a better range. Can this be changed?
I would also be interested to know other people's views on the D6 EFIS

Sorry, I had not found the Pilot User guide when I wrote the above. I now see the VSI scale can be changed, but I would still be interested in views on the instrument. How is sunlight readability, for instance? I reckon it is the minimum size for me; I would have preferred something marginally larger. There is quite a nice description of the D1 on Youtube, but the only thing I see on the D6 lasts about 17 seconds. Maybe I have missed something again!

We do sell the D60 for only $300 more and it has a 7" screen instead of a 4" screen.

The D6 and D60 are reduced feature versions of our D10A and D100, of which we have sold thousands over the years. They share the same screen and other hardware. I think if you look around for any Dynon D10A or D100 reviews you will find plenty.
