D700 freezing up again

Just got my repaired d700 back a couplr of weeks ago after it was repaired for freezing up, and eventually not booting up at all, and now, over the last week it's started to freeze up again. Uploaded 4.0 last night. Seemed to run fine during taxi tests today, then froze up repeatedly as it booted up, hanging up once on "loading databases" and while I had it in setup. Is there an issue if the 4.0 file is downloaded via a Mac computer, or am I back to square one?
