I am a US subscriber with SV and a VFR pilot. I have a 64 GB thumb drive and labeled it SkyViewUS and made the directory same. I then went to Seattle Avionics download page and noticed that there were multiple options to download. One group called Description and the other Data Type. Under each of these are more options. Which ones do I want to use?? I must be stupid.
Thanks
Dave

I signed up for SA's "SV $49 Discount" rate last week and loaded some of the charts over the weekend. Since I'm currently flying a VFR-only RV-12, I elected to download only the SECTIONALS (VFR charts) and the FLIGHT GUIDE data for the five western states to my 16GB thumb drive. That took an hour or two to download and seemed relatively simple to do.

Initially I tried to download everything (VFR and all IFR stuff) for the entire US - but it appeared that would take DAYS, maybe weeks, to download -- so I abandoned that idea.

Unfortunately, the sectionals show up on my SV 10" in a somewhat blurry / pixelated manner with an occasional split / duplicated chart presentation. Hopefully, these bugs can be worked out.

Dynon will respond and get you going. Don't expect any help from Seattle Avionics.

I was able to get 19 states loaded. First flight was Saturday and I wasn't impressed. The VFR charts are MUCH clearer on my Ipad air with WingX. I went back to terrain mode on flight back. The one cool thing is the geo-referenced approach plates.

I agree with you fly buddy I don't think charts especially the VFR sectionals are very readable "trying to read will give you a headache" terrain mode is best.
