Data from a 180

Hi Folks,

Is there any way to get EMS data from a 180 "after the fact"? I had an engine issue over the weekend while flying and I would like to be able to look at the data as it occurred. I don't see anything in the user manual about the 180 storing this data anywhere so I'm thinking that "no" is going to be the answer, but I figured that I would check because I know that some of the other EMS's out there save the last couple of hours of data internally. I know I could have got it from the 180 if I had a laptop plugged in at the time but I don't usually fly around like that. :)

Thanks in advance for your help,

Mark - RV-7 95 hrs

Hi Mark,

Sorry to confirm the bad news, but there is no way to get the info after the fact. As you suspected, it has to be captured in real time, or it goes in the bit bucket.

I love the Dynon units, but the lack of data recording is a significant deficiency in an EMS product.

Good luck with your engine problem.

You can log to either a laptop or an external device. See http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1169416431/3 for more details.
