New to the forum (Be nice)
I have a D180 installed in my Zenith Zodiac.
I tried downloading the datalogs to my windows 10 laptop but the computer said that the device was not attached to any port (I'm paraphrasing here) basically the laptop would not acknowledge that it was attached to the EFIS.
Someone @ Sun and Fun suggested using an older version of windows but even running XP it gave the same error message.
Another user @ KZPH said that there was a software "patch" that had to be installed for the two to communicate.
Does this sound familiar to anyone here on the list? and how do I find said download?

Thank you in advance for your help

Hi Brad. From what you've said, my guess is that your EFIS isn't communicating with your computer. That usually comes down to one of two things - either your USB to serial converter isn't doing it's job - they can be finicky with drivers. Or, slightly further upstream, there could be an issue on the EFIS harness. The EFIS itself could have a problem but that's least likely.

We actually have a pretty comprehensive guide now over at http://docs.dynonavionics.com that takes you through the possible trouble spots: http://www.dynonavionics.com/downloads/Install_Guides/Dynon_Support_Program_Guide_FAQ_Rev_D.pdf. Page 8 and beyond are going to be the interesting bits for your situation.
