Anyone out there have a solution to reading the datalog? There's tons of good info in there and I can get to it in Excel but something that can interpret the data into trends would be nice.

Dynon, do you guys just wade through the raw data or do you have something that sorts it for you?

We typically wade through the raw data using a variety of methods. If we used the MARK NOW button at any point during the datalog, we graph (using Excel's built-in graphing capability) that column along with the other columns of interest. That then gives us a view of where to graph smaller chunks of data. For the overview of an entire flight, selecting the entire column(s) of interest and graphing them gives you a useful profile of the flight.

Yea, that's what I've been doing as well. It works but I was hoping you or someone had come up with a better mousetrap.

Gotta tell ya though, the guys at my airport kinda looked at my D180 with a raised eyebrow when I first told them what I was putting in my panel but they're coming around now. I was talking to a few of them telling them what the egt's and cht's and the other temps were during a taxi test. One asked how I kept track of so much info while so busy. When I explained that the D180 records all of it for me they were blown away.

Lots of comments like, "you know what it would cost to put something like that in my (certified) airplane!".  ;D Yea, the D180 is really cool.
