On my D180, EMS, Setup, Data Logging,

I am seeing and error 4 message.

What does this mean and how do I clear it?

This is a bug that we have been trying to chase down. Do you know when it happened? Was it after an upgrade, just suddenly, etc??

To fix it, you need to upload a file to the unit via the support program. What version of software are you running (I need to know that to give you the right file)?

I upgraded to software version 5.2.0 to my D180.

The error was observed after I changed the data recording interval to 1 sec. I do not recall the default recording interval that occurred from the program upload.

Regards,
Don

Here is the file that will reset your datalog error. For anyone else looking, this is ONLY for D180s running version 5.2 of the software!

Thanks for the info about when it occurred.

I am looking for the definitions of the GPS data recorded in data log. A specific question regarding the GPS Altitude. Is the data log altitude GPS height above elepisoid, Baro or Pressure altitude.

Thanks
Don

It is the altitude your GPS sent to us in the NMEA record (which would generally be above elipsoid)

I am receiving the Error 4 message when trying to set up data logging. I have received the error since initial set up of my D180 and still have the error after updating to version 5.3 today. Could you please send me the file to upload to correct? Thanks

James Smith
