Data Manager for Skyview Updates

The Data Manager from Seattle Avionics works great for keeping my ChartData subscription updated. It downloads unattended to my computer and a reminder pops up letting me know when there is new data. All I have to do is plug in the memory stick and click yes.

Something like that sure would be nice for Skyview software and database updates.

Not arguing against this proposed feature, but ... if this was to be implemented it would be beneficial to retain the present manual download system too. 

I would like to give kudos to Dynon for allowing the simple download of updates with any web browser.  It is becoming all too common that obtaining updates these days requires installing, maintaining, and running a proprietary application.

Just try to update a Garmin portable GPS database update without a nearby Internet connected PC and a specific browser plug-in to manage the USB connection.  (Not everyone has or wants this in the hangar.)  I'd like it that Dynon does not require me to install anything with its attendant security risks and CPU load: just download if/when I feel like it.
