I have a suggestion... I often get out to the airport and realize I have just missed the change date for the SV database updates. Might it be possible to sign up to get an email notification when you post the new obstacles and aviation databases? Such an email, with a link to the update page, would be a great customer support convenience and would likely be very much appreciated by the user group. I realize that the refresh dates are known in advance, but a push notification is just a convenient way to be sure the event is inserted in our otherwise busy work flows.

PocketFMS do send out email notification whenever there is a new dataset issued.

My understanding is that unlike Jeppesen, PocketFMS don't have a set date when the database is updated. Sometimes it might be a couple of weeks apart, some times it's three in a week.

We like PocketFMS... :)

Pocket FMS will even let you measure and take GPS coordinates for your Farm Strip and then puts it onto your map and PFD virtual graphics. My strip (Abbots Bromley in UK) looks like Heathrow but in green complete with threshold and piano keys!!

Best regards

Trev ;D ;D

Databases are released on a 28 day cycle, per the ARIAC standard. If you want to keep track, just use whatever calendar tool you use and start a repeating appointment with a 28 day cycle. The next active date is the 22nd of August. This date always falls on a Thursday, and we do our best to have the data posted the Monday preceding that.

You can see the calendar of releases here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerona...tion#AIRAC_effective_dates_.2828-day_cycle.29

If you use Google Calendar, we created a calendar that shows these dates, and should remind you via email 3 days ahead. You can add the calendar to your Google calendar by clicking the arrow next to "Other calendars" and then doing "Add by URL"
