datalog is not latching (always off after shutdown

Hello,

I'm stumbled over something here. For AP testing I'm using the datalog feature on my D10A temporary with a 1sec logging interval. I thought why not leave the datalog in addition on my D100 always on with a 10sec intervall.

Now When I download all logs I was always surprised about the short log of the D100 so I checked that Saturday. When I select the datalogging on on the 100 and then shutdown it will be off again on the next boot.

What am I doing wrong here (same on the D10A) Software is the 5.1.1.

Thanks for a feedback

Werner

Werner,
Are you turning off the D100 with the master or the power button (the left button)? If you just kill power to the D100 to soon after changing something, it can lose it's setting since it hasn't saved it yet. Turning off with the left button forces a save.

I'm turning it off with the left button. Need to go through the menu once more (tried several times) but can you confirm, I'm on the datalog field (which shows off), toggle it with the button to on and then it should remain on?

Thanks Werner (maybe should read the manual as well?)

The on at boot setting needs to be toggled appropriately as well. That determines whether or not the datalog resumes logging every time the unit is turned on.

There you go, don't know what I was thinking (maybe similar behavior then the one in the EMS) .

Ok will upgrade to 5.2 coming WE and then toggle that boot flag and see how it works

Thanks a lot
