Debugging Help: Intercom and Radio Xmit Not Working

Sending up a flare to see if anyone can help with debugging my issue.

Went on a day trip Friday. Everything appeared great all the way to tie down. When we came back several hours later, we immediately experienced the issue.

Intercom completely inop. Radio xmit inop. Both sides. PTT doesn’t light up the Xmit/Power light (stays yellow for power on). Symptoms exactly the same both pilot and passenger sides.

I took the displays out. Don‘t see anything obvious. No loose network connections. No ground connectors dangling. Doesn’t mean that there isn’t one. I just didnt find any.

Any help ruling something in or out, or a debugging process, would be greatly appreciated.

Photo attached for context.

All of that goes through your intercom, not the displays, so I'd check there first.

By the way, you can bypass the intercom for PTT fairly easily if necessary. Audio may be a different story, depending on your install. As it appears you have only one radio, it can be done. Might not be that easy though.

Really sounds like an earth problem to me. That would appear to be the common denominator. I don't know if your PTT runs back to the same ground as your intercom but that is certainly where I'd be looking.

Thanks! I’ll try to trace the ground(s) off the back of the heads and see what I can find.
