Hi

I have started a study into building a RV10 - my wife saw one at an aero estate here in SA and loves it!

I have been doing a spreadsheet costing exercise for a few days now, and so far my most exciting find is the highly affordable D180. It seems to have just about all that you need in one package at a price lower than equivalent analogue guages , by about $2k [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif], so I guess this would mean doubling up, and getting a D100 for the right seat!

Now - as we all know, Avgas seems to be on it's way out, and Jet A1/diesel is making inroads in GA. I have contacted Delta Hawk in Europe about their V4 200HP - new price about the same as equivalent IO360, but, big but, no $12k core costs. Another advantage is forced induction - our airfield is at 5500', and ambient in summer is about 78 - 85 deg, and some of the destinations easily reach 105. So, it looks like this is the way I'd like to go.

After all of that, I'd like to know if anybody has installed this equipment in a compression ignition - yes diesel - engine, and if so, do you have any tips :question :question
