Display of route

If I am using a garmin 496 with the skyview, will the route be displayed on the map page of the skwview (at release or in the future) without having the aviation database?

No, you will need the mapping function in the SkyView to do this. No GPS units send out their databases, so we won't know what to draw unless we have our own database.
