Does the panel angle make a big difference?

I am building a RV-6A and I spoke to another builder of an RV-7A. He tilted his panel 17 forward from the vertical. This made the panel face perpendicular to his line of site. Has anyone had any experience with different panel angles and how is affects the read ability and operability of the glass panels?

I have the SV 10" displays on 2 different angles to me in the front cockpit. They both are very easy to read even in direct sunlight. I have a glass canopy and there is little shade most times and they are both still easy to read.
