Can a tech from Dynon please tell us how to power hookup and other inputs that would be a logical way to setup a Skyview display so it can be used for training LSP trainees? We have one mounted in a board and ready to go if we can just get some basic information on wire lead assignments and any other info? We realize simulator mode would not be a reality, but at least we could show the soft button and menus access more easily when not actually in the aircraft.

Hi Tom,

For a very basic table setup, you can connect an ADAHRS, EMS module, and then power to the red and black wires that go to pins 1&20 (red - power) and 21&22 (black - ground). You'll need to perform a couple of quick configuration steps, as outlined in the "getting started" section in the beginning of the SkyView installation manual (available at http://docs.dynonavionics.com). From there, the SkyView display is essentially usable as a procedures trainer.

If you need a bit more assistance, give our tech support team a call directly at 425-402-0433.

Thanks, tech guys. I forwarded your response to Larry Ross at Renegade. We hope to start getting the training activity going at the Ft Pierce operation soon. So far, I really think the Falcon is a great LSA and your SkyView to be an excellent glass panel to fly with!
