Why can't I put the install guide on my desktop?--"unable to export"---I have an Apple if that might be the issue...

I opened mine right up on a ipad- told it to open in ibooks.
granted different ios but should work the same.

I have a mac book I use firefox to down load to my usb and then on to the SV. No problems
