We had an engine surging event last week. Appeared to be fuel related. Lean run to clear plugs, operated OK back to base. Some lead fouling on the plugs evident, we are running NGK BR9EIX on dual P-Mags, standard curve.

Would like to download the event history, do we need specific software to do it ?

We have Skyview in another airplane and that downloads onto a USB and uploads to Savvy easily.

So first, it will depend on whether datalogging is enabled. Check that out in the setup menu. If it isn't (it was off by default back in those days), then there won't be anything to retrieve. If it was, then you can download the Dynon Support Program from the website, and then connect to the EMS-D120 via RS-232 serial (if the EMS was wired as such - our harnesses included the connector), typically through a USB-Serial converter with modern computers. From there, there's an option to download the logged data.
