Just purchased an RV-10 roll servo and installation kit. I installed it yesterday as per the instructions included. Last night looking at another builder's site I noticed the rod end bolts were installed with the opposite orientation. I downloaded another instruction sheet from Dynon's web and they were oriented as I had seen on the other's site. I figured I had made a mistake, but this morning discovered I had not been mistaken, I had them installed as per the supplied instructions.
I think the newer ( 01, 2009 web  vs  supplied 08, 2008) instructions are more appropriate? Safetying the bolt to the rod end in the newer configuration will hole the connecting rod out of harms way if the nut fails.

Yep, we did flip the recommendation, though the old way isn't inherently unsafe. The newer instructions are the recommended ones.
