Just installed the remote magnetometer to the D10A and now the EFIS can't find the EMS or OAT reading. OAT is on the EMS. The EMS shows the EFIS and itself. Haven't upgraded to 5.1 yet, still on 4.2 I think. Can't reconfigure, because the EFIS doesn't find the ems. Second time I powered up, the OAT came up, but was 130 + degrees and slowly came down to below actual temp. Plan to upgrade to latest software as soon as I can get a computer with serial port (vista doesn't support USB to serial adapter drivers). Any other help or ideas on this?

Make sure at under EFIS>SETUP>OAT, that your OAT is set to N. Also make sure that you don't have the serial ports from the two units connected to each other (this was pre-DSAB connectivity that is no longer supported)

Updated to 5.1.0 today on both the EFIS/EDC and EMS. Tried again to configure DSAB, because the EFIS still said OAT not found no matter what setting was used for OAT. The EFIS still doesn't find the EMS. The EMS shows itself and the EFIS. One pair of DSAB wires are the only connection between the two units, and appear to be OK. It worked well before I just added the EDC. Any more suggestions?

Almost forgot, the other change was that I disconnected the stay alive power to both units to cure the occassional problems on start up.

Give technical support a call at 425-402-0433 to get into greater detail about the DSAB configuration issues. What you're seeing doesn't quite make sense - a phone call will probably clear it up quickly though.
