Dual 10" one Xs

I just installed my panel that the shop built for me. It has two 10” Skyviews. When both are powered up they display engine and PFD. I have not hooked up the GPS yet. When I turn the one on the pilot's off I get X's on the passenger side screen. When I turn off the passenger side the pilot's side still displays.
Also my Garmin 327 is hooked up but not showing altitude. Is it because I haven't hooked up the GPS yet?

You will need to load the new version 2.0 software now available for download from the Dynon site. This includes the enhancements to the "failover" mechanisms so that when either display fails, the other automatically takes over. It doesn't have anything to do with a GPS connection, except of course, you can't display a MAP without a GPS location.

The GPS doesn't have anything to do with the Altitude encoder in the SkyView, so you should get altitude info to the 327 without the GPS. I suggest you refer to the SkyView installation manual to be sure you have the 327 to Skyview serial connection wired correctly, and both the SkyView and 327 communications settings correct, Icarus format, 9600 baud.

   Thanks a lot Mel,
 It works great now after the update. The Garmin  just needed to be set to another port and it started working to. This system is really great, I can't wait to get it flying.
