Skyviewers,

I am confused, how to wire Dual SV-GPS-250 to 2 Skyview Displays...

P8-3 "If there is more than one SV-GPS-250 in your system, use the same scheme in fig 47 but on different display serial ports fo the othe SV-GPS-250 modules, but connect power and ground 'together'

I also found this

Does this mean I need to connect the second standby GPS-250 to RX4/TX4 for instance in the place of the "portable GPS"

I dont want to "waste" another serial port for the standby GPS-250, ports 1-4 are all already used.

Maybe I should just give each skyview display its own GPS-250 and not link the two skyview RX5 and TX5 together.

Will that work or is there a better method without using another Serial Port?

Thanks in advance.

It does, but you can alternatively connect each SV-GPS=250 to a single display. The tradeoff is that if a single SV-GPS-250 fails, the display it's connected to will lose GPS. It does save you a serial port for other devices, though, while still giving you redundant GPS (albeit not across the whole system, all the time). Hope that makes sense.
