I have a 2008 Flight Design CTLS with dual Skyviews coupled with a TruTrac Digiflight IIVS.

I have read the FAQ on the DYNON A/P. Can you tell me what I would need do to change to the DYNON A/P?

Hi,

At a very basic level, our servos are mechanical replacements, though there are some wiring changes that would be required.

But the better answer, since it's an LSA, is to give your Flight Design dealer/rep a call, as you'll need to get authorization/instructions/etc from Flight Design directly to make changes to your aircraft.

Since the new CTLS comes with Skyview and Dynon a/p, let's jump ahead and assume there's no LOA issue.

My question is one of cost. Do I save any $$$ because I have the servo from my TruTrac or do I need to buy the $1500 servos from DYNON?

SkyView's Autopilot system ONLY works with Dynon's servos.

SkyView (and Dynon's earlier EFIS products) do not work with TruTrak's systems.

Our servos do mount in the same mounts as TruTrak servos, can use the same wiring, and cost only $750 each, so you can generally sell the TruTrak for more than it costs you to buy our system.
