Is there any way to change the contrast or brightness on the Dynon com radio display? I'm currently in phase 1 testing of my new RV7 and although I haven't flown the plane myself yet (no endorsement yet), my test pilot has complained that the display is very hard to read in bright sunlight. My testing in the hangar has been in darker conditions which look fine, so I don't know what it looks like in the air yet. I don't see anything in the install manual suggesting the possibility to change settings for the display. Maybe have to shade the display better? Anyone else having this issue?

It dims and brightens with SkyView's display, but in the daylight it's not the backlight that affects the readibility (which is mostly there for when there isn't enough light) but usually odd angle reflections. Though the LCD display is daylight readible, it's a little more prone than the main displays to throwing off a little glare at times. However, this is one reason that ALL of the COM radio status information is replicated on the top bar of each SkyView display in the system. So you can use the knobs and buttons on the panel but get all your status on the actual display when the light is hitting it wrong.
