Dynon D2 Heading display absent

Hi, I have just purchased a new D2 and after charging it up and powering it up, my display shows a blank heading box and no compass rose, is this normal? What do you have to do to get a compass rose to display?

Is the D2 outside so the internal GPS can see the sky? If not, what you're describing is normal.

Hi, I have the same problem and can confirm that I have a 5 bar gps signal but the compass rose Display is never present. I’ve not had chance take fly with the instrument yet But is this normal?

Took a walk with it, no difference

You may need slightly more than walking speed. Can you post a picture of what you're seeing? Try taking a drive with it, that may also tell the tale.
