I need some help. I am building an RV-7A and would like IFR capability. My plan is (was) to use a D-100, a D-180, a HS-34, a Garmin 300 XL GPS, a SL-30, and a GTX-327.
I talked to tech support at Dynon and it sounded like things would mesh. However, I received a phone call from Stark Avionics today (I am purchasing trays and harnesses right now from them) and they informed me that the combo of Dynon and the 300XL has not been tested and that in their conversation with Dynon and Garmin no one can confirm that this combination will work. I am trying to find someone who is using a Dynon EFIS and a 300XL successfully for IFR or has attempted to do so and proven that it will not work. Any input will be helpful. Thanks.
