Took off yesterday on a 30 min flight to nearby airport. The SV1000 reported that the "GPS POS1 FAIL" via the caution button. Sure enough no MAP, SYN VIS, or anything else GPS dependant. The PDF and ENG displays were normal. Since I had the iFy 720, I contiued to nearby airport. On restart, the SV1000 booted normally and the MAP came as did everything else GPS dependant. First time this has occurred. Approximately 20 hurs on SV since upgrade from D-180. Dan

The GPS should be pretty rocksteady reliable. If a simple power flip fixed it, perhaps it glitched and stopped sending data. Can't say we've heard of that before. If it happens again, it's not a fluke, and something's going on with it, and you should get in touch with us after checking that there's no frayed or intermittent wiring in the mix.
