Position Title: Systems Engineer
Dynon Avionics is seeking a Systems Engineer with a diverse engineering and aviation background. Dynon Avionics, located in the Seattle area, is a growing company of 50+ employees where each person makes a large impact. Dynon designs and manufactures cockpit avionics for the homebuilt and Light Sport Aircraft markets. The position requires aviation knowledge, technical problem solving and communication skills. The position’s primary role is designing and describing detailed system functionality and being a product expert.
Position Responsibilities
[list bull-blackball][*]Design and document detailed product specifications so they are consistent, complete and operationally defined
[*]Convert high-level requirements into detailed low-level specifications
[*]Communicate with marketing and other team members on product requirements
[*]Design man-machine interfaces with consideration of human factors and overall system usability
[*]Maintain accurate specifications through project life cycle
[*]Perform product verification to ensure design meets intended mission
[*]Perform feasibility analysis for new technology
[*]Provide engineering leadership to the development team utilizing skills and expertise
[*]Provide engineering support as a product expert
[*]Generate sketches, models, prototypes and user interface models
[*]Research and apply industry and regulatory standards

Qualifications
[list bull-blackball][*]5+ years of relevant experience
[*]Aeronautical Engineering, EE, CE, CS bachelor’s degree or equivalent
[*]Pilot’s license required
[*]Excellent design skills
[*]Ability to effectively communicate with team members (written and verbal)
[*]Skilled problem solver
[*]Familiar with a variety of technical design: electronics, software, mechanical and aviation
[*]Strong mathematical and analysis skills
[*]High energy level, work ethic and positive attitude
[*]Demonstrated ability to self-direct in developing and implementing objectives
[*]Experience in regulatory environment a plus (e.g. aviation, medical, etc.)
