Hello Dynon, Nice to see your latest radio in a panel and operational. Was wondering if you have plans to put the com together with the intercom? I noticed that Dynon comm is only 6 Watts of transmit power, Icom 8 watts of power and the new Garmin GTR200 at 10 watts of transmit power. Both the IcomA210 and the Garmin GTR200 have the intercom built in one radio. The dynon for both com and intercom units are $1589 while the other two are under $1199. Thats about 400 bucks difference.

No current plans to integrate them. Transmit power is like megapixels on a camera. It's a spec that everyone lists, but it hardly matters (in cameras, it's sensor size you should really care about, fyi). Because of the way energy radiates, those last couple of watts only get you a few more miles in typical reach. There are so many other things that go into how well you're heard, how crisp and intelligible the audio that you're hearing is, and how sensitive your reception is. We've tested against the best, and we're right up there. It'll take some time for the reputation to spread, but you'll find that our radio is about to be really highly regarded :)

We also think there is some real value in the unique features in the SV-COM-C25. With its dedicated TWR/ATIS/GND/ATC buttons, along with the ability to quickly select the nearest airport with just a few button pushes directly from the panel. You can shoot them from SkyView, like competitive systems allow, but frankly, the radio interface is so much better. I flew back from Oshkosh without ever having to spin in an airport frequency!

Dynon - on the Skyview screens that I ordered, they came shipped with #6 hex-head cap screws for mounting the units for the panel. When I received my COM radio I was a little surprised to see that I didn't get any of those. Was this an oversight?

In any case, I had some #8 black hex-head cap screws so I used them - so I don't need any - just asking the question for future purchasers.

We goofed on the first few and forgot them. Give sales a call at 425-402-0433 or an email at sales at dynonavionics dot com and they'll get them to you right away.

Thanks - I did so, I think I would like to have all the screws the same since the difference stands out a little more than I thought it would. I'll just need to change out the platenuts now...
