I am trying to update my D100/D120/AP74/HS34 with the DSP program on a windows 8 Lenovo laptop. I bought a new USB-Serial connector from radioshack which is supposed to be Win8 compatible. When I plug it in, it installs the drivers, but DSP says "Driver Error" and it can't communicate with my D100 EFIS.

Has anyone had luck with Win8 and DSP??

Thanks!

We have it working here, but not with that particular adapter. But generally the name brand ones like the one you're using are usually pretty good. When you plug in the USB-Serial converter, does windows make the noise that something has connected and also NOT give you a warning about the device not having drivers? One thing, if you tried it once and it didn't work: Try the following sequence of steps:

1) reboot computer with usb-serial converter disconnected
2) plug in converter with DSP shut and Dynon physically disconnected
3) connect Dynon
4) fire up DSP
