Can anybody suggest to me if I should order SV-XPNDR-262 or SV-XPNDR-261 having a RV-10?.

You need a 261, since that airplane can easily break 175 knots.

Re: Dynon Transponder Squat switch

I've been studying the new SkyView transponder installation and see the option for a Squat Switch. Has anyone used a Squat Switch to turn the TPX from ground to airborne operation?

I was thinking some kind of switch on my RV8 tail wheel. When on the ground and flexed up it would be open circuit and close as soon as off the ground and unloaded. Any ideas on how to rig and what kind of switch?

OK, I'll ask....

What happens when the 262 goes faster than 175 kt or over 15k ft?

Nothing "happens." The transponder doesn't do anything different. It's just that you are no longer meeting the TSO which means you are not meeting the FAR's if a transponder is required at that phase of flight.
