EDC-10A and NAV Coax

I have my EDC-10A mounted in the top of the tail cone on a shelf from the upper bulkhead of my RV8 underconstruction. I have an SL-30 and want to mount the NAV antennae on the Vertiucal Stab. How far do I need to keep the COAX from the antennae to SL-30 from the unit? Will running it along side the harness for the EDC-10A cause problems? (I can run it down the other side of the A/C)

Also I have an excess of wire in the EDC-10A harness. I currently have it coiled in the tail cone. Is this a problem or will shortening it up to remove the excess cause any problems.

I think that is three questions. Hope I am not over the limit for one email:)

Usually running those wires together presents no problems, but there have been one or two customers that have had to separate them because their heading was dropping out during transmit.

Try to keep the EDC-D10A at least 1-2 feet away from the wire, just like any other power source.

Having excess EDC wire isn't an issue. Leave it coiled or shorten it at your discretion.
