My first flight of the new flying season here in sunny Southwestern Ontario, was cut short this morning by a problem with my EFIS 100. I fired up RV-7 and the EFIS 100 began flashing the late Dynon"D" on the screen. The EMS 120 fired right up and worked perfectly but could not detect the EFIS. I cycled through the power several times but nothing seemed to help. The screen continuously flashed the large Dynon "D". Nothing I did helped including removing the unit from the instrument panel (after engine shutdown), unplugging the wire harness, plugging it back in and trying again. I did this several times and nothing changed. Always the large Dynon "D" flashing every 1 to 2 seconds. The EMS and all other electronics worked well. I also removed the positive leads from the battery, and put them back on..No Change.
Any thoughts? Any ideas? Do I need to ship it back to Dynon?
