Dear Sirs,
We have recently acquired an aircraft which has two Dynon systems, an EFIS D100 and an EMS D120. Since both had firmware version 1.1, we decided to update them to the latest available version 5.6.
We followed the instructions that we downloaded from Dynon webpage as well as the update software provided by you at your official site.
When we updated the EMS D120 everything was OK. No errors happened, and the system started with no errors (however, fuel gauges indicated zero, although both tanks were full).
After updating D120 we started the update process for EFIS D100. First of all, we unplugged pin #2 as recommended in your documentation. The update software gave a message saying that during the firmware update process some error messages could arise (to be ignored), and that the system could reboot several times. Anyway, the process finished OK according to the results in the laptop connected to D100. However, just after the firmware update, the D100 entered a reboot cycle. I mean, it begins to start up, the blue screen with the Dynon logo appears, and suddenly the screen goes blank. After this the blue screen with the Dynon logo appears, and this cycle repeats again and again.
You can see this behaviour in this video we uploaded to Youtube:

We have tried to disconnect the D100 from the battery with no positive results.
We decided to restore the firmware backup on version 1.1 we saved before the update in D120 and the process finished OK. However, we cannot restore the previous version of the D100 firmware since it does not start up and we do not find any suitable way to do it.
Our questions are:
- Is there any suitable way to restore the previous version of the D100 firmware by any special procedure? Does it help if we send the backup files to you?
- In EMS D120, if we update again to 5.6, is there any way to save the data configuration so the fuel gauges mark the right amount of fuel?
We would appreciate very much your help.
Thanks and Regards.
