Hi
I install my new d10a without edc10a, when i start it for the first time, it said REMOTE COMPASS NOT DETECTED, but i dont install an edc10a and i never connect one.
The firmware was 5.5.0
first, i made the initialisation on the DSAB and it said that i was in stand alone mode, after the initialisation, the message remote compas not detected still again.
i made the firmware update on 5.6.0, during the installation, it tell me that the EDC10 was not connected, sure i dont have one.
I dont make an compas callibration yet. is it the reason of the error message ?
I dont find in the installation manual this situation.

Tanks for HELP
regards

You either need to turn the magnetic heading bar off, or calibrate the internal compass. When you calibrate it, it will switch to the internal one.

As soon as you do the magnetometer calibration, the EFIS-D10A will switch to the internal magnetometer.

In our experience, the internal magnetometer is not reliable in a typical plane's panel - there's too much electrical activity for the internal magnetometer to be able to accurately sense magnetic heading. Thus we always recommend installing the EDC-D10A.
