EFIS D10A trim indicator

Can you add a trim indicator to a stand alone D10A?  I can see where the trim indicator can be toggled on through one of the menus, but I don't see any reference in the manual to wiring or acceptable input devices (a potentiometer?).

You must have one of our EMS systems in the plane to use this. You can't hook the potentiometer directly to the D10A or any EFIS.
