EFIS Display on EMS-D10

There has been a point of confusion with some customers regarding the EFIS display on the EMS-D10. This functionality does not currently require the Dynon Smart Avionics Bus. The installation guide mentions the DSAB wiring, but that bus is not currently used for inter-instrument communications. To enable the EFIS display on your engine monitor, connect the primary RS232 ports of the EMS-D10 and EFIS-D10 or EFIS-D10A with a null modem adapter. Note: This functionality also requires that you upgrade your EFIS's software to 02.08.00 or greater for the EFIS-D10A or 01.13.00 (not yet released) or greater for the EFIS-D10.

Note that you will need to obtain both a null modem connector (Radio Shack pt# 26-264) and a DB9 male to male gender changer (Radio Shack pt# 26-231)
