Its that pesty trouble maker from down under again!

So when is the V5.1 going to be released? It was meant to be early 2009 and as far as I can tell its not out yet, and its now April. So I guess you could say early 2009 is Jan-Apr mid is May-Aug and end is Sep-Dec and its fair to assume then we will se it in the next few weeks.

I will be needing it by the middle of May, so along with others I am keenly awaiting some news!

Cheers and happy Easter!

DB :)

There isn't currently a firm release date, but it is still in active development and headed toward beta very soon. We've been taking the extra time to polish some of the AP features that are due in 5.1, and we've also been doing some other polishing and other neat secret feature development that we're not telling you about yet.

Ahhhh you guys make me laugh!

I can only hope those secret things may end up being an AP76 ;)

OK so will you be needing a BETA test done in June? :) plenty of resource down here! Just ask Nick!

Does the 5.1 alert altituder alert approaching a bugged altitude, as well as departing the bugged altitude, like it did back in Ver 2 or 3?

I think the only bug we knew about there was if you were using voice alerts out of a HS34 or AP74. In that case, it's been fixed.

If you were having a different issue, please let me know and I'll check the bug fix list and make sure it's on there.

I have a D100 & HS34 and I use voice alerts. the only altitude or alert is after i arrive at the bugged altitude, when i leave that alt I get a "climb" or "descend" warning.

There should be a tone or the words "0ne Thousand" and "2 hundred" when approaching the bugged altitude at those points.

Also, will the serial data stream output change at all in 5.1?

That bug is now fixed. It says "altitude" when you cross the warning altitude.

Also added in 5.1 is the ability to turn the alerter on and off independent of the altitude bug (mostly helpful for people with our AP).

There are no changes to the serial stream for 5.1.
