EGT/CHT Problems

The last two times I've flown, the EGT/CHT display on my EMS D10 has been way out of range at power-up, with really low EGT's and high (900+) CHT's. It stays this way for about 10-12 minutes then it's okay. The firmware is up to date except for the very latest version and it's been okay up 'till now. Anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

Sounds mighty like a cold junction compensation problem, in which case Dynon will have to look at it. Strange that one set goes high and the other low though.

If it's all (or at least more than one) EGT/CHT, doesn't sound like a probe-based thing, nor a compensation problem (since they're going in different directions), but it does sounds like something is wrong with the unit. Give us a call or email.

The last 2 flights have been completely normal. I'll keep an eye on it and check with Dynon directly if it does it again.
