I love flying!
Hello,
I just got my 10 inch Skyview a few days ago and set it up on my desktop (with car battery and 5 amp breaker). I've downloaded the latest software updates and European terrain data. The aviation data will have to wait till I am nearer flying since that needs a Pocket FMS subscription.
Overall I am very impressed so far. Strangely the test network cable that came with it was the wrong kind (male connectors) but Mendelssohn sent the correct (female) one the next day so I have my ADAHRS working.
I just have a couple of suggestions for features I would like:
On the map info options, would it be possible to show terrain elevation (directly below the aircraft) and / or gps height above terrain?
With millibars for baro, if you hold to reset baro it goes to 1013 mb in the baro window. I would prefer if it said STD in the baro window. This is what Boeing does and makes it more obvious if you forget to change when you should. Also the exact STD baro is 1013.25 mb (OK only a 7 ft error, but more a matter of principle)
